Welcome to OKABE Yoji Laboratory

Our laboratory was founded at Department of Mechanical and Biofunctional Systems, Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo and Department of Systems Innovation, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo on May 16, 2007. The research field is “Structural health diagnostics” that includes structural health monitoring (SHM) systems with sensors integrated into lightweight structures for high-speed transport, non-destructive inspection (NDI) systems suitable for composite structures, and the establishment of a comprehensive inspection system based on SHM and NDI.
